The final stretch of Metro 3 to be inaugurated by PM Modi in August: CM Fadnavis

Mumbai, May 10 (UNI) The final stretch of Metro 3 from Acharya Atre Chowk to Colaba will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis informed on Friday.
The extension of Mumbai Metro Line-3 (Phase 2A – BKC to Acharya Atre Chowk) service was inaugurated by Fadnavis and Shinde from BKC station by showing the green flag.
After that, the dignitaries enjoyed the metro ride between BKC and Siddhivinayak metro stations.

On this occasion, Consul General of Japan Yagi Koji San, Acting Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani and Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Ashwini Bhide were present.

After the inauguration of the metro, Chief Minister Fadnavis while interacting with the media said that the 13 km route of Colaba-Bandra-Seepz-Aarey Metro 3 from Aarey JVLR to BKC was inaugurated on 7 October 2024. Now Phase 2A – BKC to Acharya Atre Chowk Metro route, the second phase, will be open to the citizens from tomorrow.

So far, 22 km. Metro has been started. Metro work is being completed at a fast pace and Metro 3 work has reached its final stage.

Metro services on the final phase of Metro 3 will start in August. Metro 3 will also be connected to the airports in Mumbai,added Fadnavis. UNI VKB SSP
