Maha: Numerous Congressmen join NCP-AP

Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) In a major setback to Congress party in Maharashtra, numerous office-bearers of the Congress Seva Dal in the state, including Chandrakant Dayma, publicly joined the Nationalist Congress Party Ajit Pawar (NCP-AP) faction, in the presence of Ajit Pawar, here on Tuesday.
Those who were joined the NCP-AP included Shashikant Thorat, Jayant Kathawate, Birbal Devkate, Vilas Salu, Sharad Deshmukh, Prakash Padwal, Chandrakant Navghare along with numerous other activists.
Speaking on this occasion, Pawar praised Dayma's work during the Congress' unity and emphasized that he had been working to advance the discipline of the Seva Dal and was continuing to advance that discipline today.
He advised the new entrants to desist from doing anything that will cause a rift in the alliance or make wrong statements.
