Man sentenced to 25 years RI by POCSO court for sexually assaulting two minors

Bhubaneswar, May 17 (UNI) Jharsuguda Additional District and Sessions Judge, POCSO Puja Sarangi, on Saturday sentenced a man to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting two minors.
The police filed a chargesheet against the accused within just 55 days, and the final verdict in the case was pronounced today.
According to the prosecution the rape case was registered at Brajrajnagar police station on March 23 last.

The accused, Ajit Nag, took an 11-year-old minor to a secluded place and sexually assaulted him. When he protested, the accused Ajit, beat up the victim and threatened to kill him if he revealed the incident to anyone.

However, after the minor returned home and told his mother about the incident, a complaint was filed at the police station.
During the investigation, the police found out that the accused, Ajit Nag had previously sexually abused another minor, including his nephew, and some other minors in the village.

The accused Ajit was previously in jail in a rape case,police said.
