Manipur government working for sustainable development of tribal

Imphal, May 19 (UNI): Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, said on Monday that continuous efforts are being made towards sustainable development of the tribal under Dharti AabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), an initiative of the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs, in Jiribam District through the District Administration in three tribal villages namely; Jairolpokpi, Chotobekra, and Bhutangkhal.
Various schemes/programmes under different Ministries have also been taken up by the District Administration and the concerned line Departments so far, such as PMAY, MGNREGS, Kishan Credit Card(KCC), PM KISAN, IGOAPS, IGWPS, IGDPS, ICDS, Jan Dhan Account, Ayushman Bharat(PM-JAY), PMSBY, Jal Jeevan Mission, Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate. Gaps have been identified in these villages, and efforts are being taken up to check the saturation level, he added.
The concerned line Departments under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam have started working in coordination to deliver the benefits under various schemes in these villages. Special drive will be carried out in the above villages to create more awareness about different schemes and programmes, also to identify gap, if any, to fill with the help of different line Departments under Dharti AabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA).
