Mumbai temp touches 36.3 degree

Mumbai, Apr 4 (UNI) Mumbai maximum temperature touched 36.9 degree, 3.8 degree above normal while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said Mumbai may experience a dip in temperature after April 4, once the cloudy sky clears.

Despite a yellow alert sounded in the city for Wednesday, rain remained a no-show, leaving the city reeling under high temperature throughout the day.

Data furnished by the IMD showed that on Wednesday the Santacruz observatory recorded 36.9 degree on the mercury scale while the Colaba coastal observatory recorded 34.2 degree.

On Tuesday night, after experiencing overcast sky and warm temperature, several pockets of Mumbai’s suburbs alongside Thane, Navi Mumbai among other nearby areas experienced light showers.
