Arunachal Guv chairs high-level review meet on forest conservation

Itanagar, Apr 16 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik chaired a high-level meeting at Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday to review the State Government’s initiatives for the conservation and protection of Reserve Forests.
The meeting was attended by State Environment & Forests Minister Wangki Lowang, senior officials from the Environment & Forests Department including Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force, P Subramanyam, District Administrations, and Police authorities.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh’s identity as a “Green State” must be safeguarded at all costs. He called for both proactive and remedial strategies, along with systemic reforms, to effectively tackle the challenges related to forest conservation.

Mizo voluntary anti-drug squad seizes four kg of heroin, two arrested
