Revenue staff arrested accepting bribe in Bihar

Muzaffarpur, May 3 (UNI) A revenue staff member of Motipur Thakaha, Pankaj Sinha, was arrested by the Bihar State Vigilance Bureau while he was accepting Rs 7000 as a bribe in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar on Saturday.
Official sources said here that on the basis of a complaint lodged with the Bureau by Arun Kumar, Pankaj was demanding Rs 7000 as a bribe for mutation. A team headed by DSP Sanjay Kumar caught him red-handed. A trap was laid, keeping vigil on the activities of Pankaj when he met the complainant for receiving a bribe, sources added.
"Arrested revenue staff would be produced before the special vigilance court in Muzaffarpur after his thorough interrogation," sources informed.
