Bhubaneswar, Apr 14 (UNI) President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday extended greetings to the people of Odisha on the occasion of the Odia New Year, also observed as Pana Sankranti or Maha Bishuba Sankranti.
Using her X handle, the President highlighted that the festival conveys a message of love and peace to society and inspires dedication to the service of the nation.
She expressed her hopes for the prosperity of the people of Odisha and emphasized the cultural richness of the celebration.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended warm greetings to the people of Odisha on the occasion of the Odia New Year, commonly celebrated on April 14.
In his message, Modi emphasized Odisha’s cultural richness and wished everyone happiness, prosperity, and good health.
Posting on his X handle, he expressed pride in Odisha’s glorious culture and hoped the new year would bring joy and success to all.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also conveyed his warmest greetings and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of the holy Maha Bishuba Sankranti and the Odia New Year.
“May everyone's life be blessed by the grace of Lord Sri Jagannath. #OdiaNewYear #PanaSankranti,” Majhi tweeted on his X handle.
