Girls steal spotlight as Mizoram records improved pass percentage in Class 12 exams

Aizawl, May 6 (UNI) The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination in Mizoram for the year 2025 witnessed an overall pass percentage of 81.10%, marking a notable rise from last year’s 78.04%, according to the results declared by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) on Tuesday.
Girls emerged as clear academic frontrunners, topping all three major streams—Arts, Science, and Commerce.
Out of 12,105 students (5,499 boys and 6,529 girls) who appeared for the examination, a total of 9,817 students successfully cleared it. This includes 4,391 boys and 5,426 girls. Additionally, 91 students have been placed in the compartment category while 2,197 students did not pass.
