Odisha: Special campaign launched to assist People suffering from terminal illnesses

Bhubaneswar, Mar 3 (UNI) A special campaign has been launched in the Grievance Cell on the instructions of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to provide immediate assistance to people suffering from incurable and terminal illnesses through a single-window system.
During the ninth round of the Chief Minister's Grievance Hearing Program on Monday, Majhi listened to the problems and grievances of the people and took immediate steps to resolve them.
According to sources from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), financial assistance was provided under this system to several individuals in need: Rs. 1 lakh was given to Hemant Sahu, a paralytic from Nimapara in Puri district; Rs. 1 lakh to Vichitra Paikaraya, a paralytic from Nirakarpur in Khordha district; Rs. 3 lakh to Hazira Bibi, a bone marrow cancer patient from Bhograi in Balasore district; Rs. 1 lakh to Indu Behera, a cancer patient from Tikabali in Kandhamal district; and Rs. 1 lakh to Smt. Rashmita Nayak, from Gajapati district.
