Patna, Apr 02 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Wednesday expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also thanked him for special assistance of Rs 2638.17 crores to Bihar.
Chaudhary, also a senior BJP leader, said that Narendra Modi government had sanctioned Rs 2638.17 crores for various projects in Bihar. He expressed his gratitude to PM Modi and also thanked him for special assistance to Bihar.
" PM Modi provided Rs 2638.17 crores on request from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ", Deputy Chief Minister said adding that the fund was sanctioned by the Centre under special assistance scheme to state. Utilisation of funds would help in accelerating the pace of development of Bihar, he added.
" Funds sanctioned by the Centre will be utilised in execution of Kosi- Mechi inter state link project and other projects", Chaudhary said adding that western Kosi canal project would also be completed with the fund. Out of demand of Rs 2766 crores made by Bihar, Rs 2638.17 crores was sanctioned by the Centre, which was nearly hundred percent acceptance, he pointed out.
