Bhubaneswar, Apr 19 (UNI) Naveen Patnaik, elected as BJD President for the ninth consecutive term on Saturday, called upon party workers to aggressively counter false narratives against the BJD, especially on social media.
“Let me be honest in saying that we need to significantly improve our social media presence. Technology should be used to present facts, and without it, we cannot effectively reach the people,” Patnaik told party leaders and workers.
Patnaik said, “We narrowly lost the last election even though the BJD received more popular votes. This happened because we couldn’t effectively counter the false narrative.”
