Army-hosted Spearhead Seminar on ‘Resurgent Arunachal’ begins

Itanagar, Mar 21 (UNI)The Indian Army on Friday organized a Spearhead Seminar 2025 at the Likabali Military Station in Lower Siang district, involving senior military officials, policymakers, academicians, and local dignitaries intending to shed light on Arunachal Pradesh’s strategic importance, development trajectory, and security challenges.
The seminar, themed ‘Resurgent Arunachal: Integrated Approach to Security and Development’, fostered a collaborative exchange of ideas on the State’s historical significance, ongoing transformation, and prospects. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various colleges from Assam and Arunachal, Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), NCC cadets, Jawaharlal Nehru College, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and civil administration officials.
The session on ‘Arunachal Through the Prism of History’, with Prof (Dr) Shashibala, Claude Arpi, and Prof Ashan Riddi as panellists, explored Arunachal’s historical, cultural, and geopolitical relevance, emphasizing its indigenous heritage and its role in India’s frontier policies.
