Flag march taken out in Manipur

Imphal, May 2 (UNI) A flag march was conducted in Imphal West and Imphal East on Friday, with participation from approximately 1000 CRPF and Manipur Police personnel.
About 150 vehicles also took part in the march, which covered about 20 kilometres in the two districts.
The rally was taken out in all the districts of Manipur from Thursday as a confidence-building measure. Security was also beefed up throughout the state as various organisations were planning to organise various events to mark two years of the crisis in Manipur, which began in Churachandpur district on May 3, 2023, with the burning of government offices and the burning of houses belonging to a particular community.
