Shahjahanpur (UP), Mar 31 (UNI) A 35-year-old man and his minor nephew were killed when a motorcycle was hit by a pickup van in Chowk Kotwali area of Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said here on Monday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Devendra Kumar said that after the moon of Eid was sighted on Sunday night, Danish alias Shobhi's nephew, Jaan Hussain (5), both residents of Wajid Khel locality, insisted on eating ice cream. "When Danish was going to get ice cream with his nephew Jaan, their motorcycle was hit by the pickup van," he said.
He said that Danish and Jaan were seriously injured in the incident. "The police reached the spot immediately and admitted them to the medical college where both died during treatment," he said.
