Raj cabinet approves 2 pc DA hike for govt employees

Jaipur (Rajasthan), Apr 1 (UNI) Rajasthan cabinet on Tuesday approved a two per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state employees and pensioners on the occasion of New Year Vikram Samvat (2082) and New Financial Year 2025-26.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma approved the proposal of the Finance Department in this regard today. Now under the seventh pay scale in the state, state employees and pensioners will be given 55 percent dearness allowance or dearness relief from 53 percent from January 1. This decision will benefit about eight lakh employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners. The employees of Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad will also get the benefit of this increase.
The employees will be paid cash of the increased dearness allowance from the salary of this month of April due in May and the amount of three months from January 1 to March 31 will be deposited in the general provision fund account of the employees concerned. Dearness relief will be paid in cash to pensioners from January 1. This sensitive decision taken in the interest of employees and pensioners will put an annual financial burden of about Rs 820 crore on the state government.
It is noteworthy that on Friday, the DA of central employees was increased by the Central Government. After this increase, on the first working day itself, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, without delay, Rajasthan has also approved the increase in dearness allowance or dearness relief in accordance with the central government employees.

Jammu, Apr 2 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Jammu and Kashmir has sanctioned Rs 937.24 crore for 152 projects to the government of Jammu and Kashmir during the financial year 2024-25, of which 21 projects pertain to Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Department amounting to Rs 101.09 crore,
The Chief General Manager, NABARD, Jammu, Bhallamudi Sridhar, informed that during the financial year 2024-25, the bank has sanctioned Rs 937.24 crore for 152 projects to Govt. of J&K UT, of which 21 projects pertains to Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Department amounting to Rs 101.09 crore, 92 projects amounting to Rs 529.39 crore for Rural Road connectivity.
