Chandigarh, Mar 15 (UNI) In an intelligence-led operation, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Mohali has dismantled a key module of Pakistan-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda’s network, backed by Pakistan’s ISI, said DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav on Saturday.
DGP Yadav said that police arrested Jagjit Singh alias Jaggi r/o Nanded, Maharashtra, co-accused in multiple criminal cases in Maharashtra, Shubham Khelbude r/o Bandghat, Wajirabad, Nanded, Maharashtra and Gurdeep Singh alias Deepa of PS Nurpur Bedi, Distt Ropar (Punjab), who provided shelter and logistical support
He said that Jagjit alias Jaggi played a critical role in facilitating logistics, safe houses, and coordination for the shooters involved in the Nanded murder on February 10, masterminded by Rinda from across the border.
DGP said that the investigations have also uncovered the role of jailed gangster Dilpreet alias Baba, an old associate of Rinda, who arranged safe shelters in Punjab
for the accused.

This operation marks a significant dent to a well-coordinated terror and crime syndicate spread across different states, operating under the command of a BKI terrorist.
Police said that the case has been registered at PS SSOC, Mohali and further investigations are underway.
