Dreaded criminal killed in joint operation by UPSTF, Jharkhand police in Jamshedpur

Lucknow, Mar 30 (UNI) A contract killer and a member of mafia Mukhtar Ansari gang was killed in a joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police and Jharkhand Police in Jamshedpur, an official spokesman said here on Sunday.
The spokesman said that UPSTF Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dharmesh Kumar Shahi was seriously injured in the encounter and has been admitted to the hospital.
He said that late on Saturday night during a joint operation by STF UP and Jharkhand Police in Govindpur area of East Singhbhum district of Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), dreaded criminal Anuj Kanaujia was injured in the encounter, "Anuj, who had committed serious crimes like murder, robbery, dacoity and worked as contract killer for Mukhtar Ansari and other gangs, died during treatment," he said.
