UP signs MoU with Australia's smart energy to boost renewable energy sector

Lucknow, Apr 22 (UNI) In a significant move towards fostering employment in the renewable energy sector, the Uttar Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Smart Energy Council of Australia and the Hinduja Group.
This collaboration marks a pivotal step under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aiming to transform UP into a hub for renewable energy investment and skilled workforce development.
The MoU was signed by Chief Secretary of UP, Manoj Kumar Singh, who emphasised the importance of developing skilled manpower to meet the state's ambitious target of achieving 22,000 MW solar capacity. He highlighted the need for a large, skilled task force to drive this initiative forward.
