Lucknow, Feb 17 (UNI) Ahead of the budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday urged the leaders of opposition parties to raise issues of public interest in the House and cooperate with the government in accelerating development in the state by having a healthy discussion.
The budget session of the UP Legislature is set to begin on Tuesday. Ahead of the session, an all-party meeting chaired by Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana was held at Vidhan Bhawan wherein the CM and Leader of the House stressed raising public interest issues.
During the meeting, he urged all the members to work collaboratively for the smooth functioning of the House. He urged the leaders of opposition parties to contribute to the development of the state by engaging in healthy discussions on public matters.
Yogi Adityanath said that there should be a healthy discussion in the house. "This also leads to the development of the state and also solves the problems of the public. As a public representative, every issue related to the interest of the public should be discussed smoothly in the house," he said.
He said that all the members should take care that there are no obstacles in the functioning of the house. "As public representatives, it is our responsibility to ensure that all matters concerning public interest are debated smoothly in the House," he said.
Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana also appealed to all members to cooperate for the smooth conduct of the session.
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, Congress Legislature Party Leader Aradhana Mishra, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party MLA Bedi Ram and Vinod Saroj from Jansatta Dal Democratic Party among others were present in the meeting.
