Ashok Gehlot questions BJP's intent behind sending Rajasthan CM, entire govt, for training in Gujarat

Jaipur, May 5 (UNI) Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has questioned the BJP high command's decision to send the state's Chief Minister, the entire government, and BJP MLAs for training to a resort in Gujarat, a year and a half after the government was formed.

In a statement on Monday, Gehlot asked if the BJP high command believes that the Rajasthan government has failed in the past one and a half years, necessitating this training. He expressed surprise that such training is being conducted after the government has been in place for so long.

Gehlot recalled that during his tenure, Congress MLAs had to be kept in a hotel to prevent BJP's attempts to topple the government, but ultimately, the party's money power was defeated, and the government continued. However, he finds it strange that the current government is going for training in Gujarat, away from the state.

He questioned what could be achieved in this training that couldn't be done in Rajasthan. Gehlot also pointed out that during the G-20 meetings held in Jaipur and Udaipur, there was no need for the BJP CMs and MLAs to go out of the state for training.

The senior Congress leader criticised the BJP government for enjoying themselves in Gujarat while the people of Rajasthan are struggling with law and order issues, water and electricity shortages and poor medical facilities. He said the people of Rajasthan will remember this.
