Auraiya (UP), Apr 27 (UNI) Former Union Minister of State Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Sunday strongly condemned the Pahalgam incident and said that the public attack on tourists is a direct challenge to the country.
While talking to the reporters the former Union Minister, who had come to participate in the One Nation One Election programme organised at Tilak College of Auraiya, expressed her anger and said that Pakistan, which is poor and dependent on others for every grain, is trying to hide its shortcomings in the world by doing such incidents. "Pakistan will have to bear the brunt of this," she said.
She said that this incident has happened purely on tourists and devotees. "This is the first incident, which has shocked not only the whole country but the whole world. In this hour of crisis, all of us countrymen have to stand with the government," she said.
Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said that the ideologies and political battles of all the opposition parties are different. "But the challenge that Pakistan has given to the country, all the opposition parties are standing with the government in it," she said.
She said that asking about Hindu religion and then shooting people with bullets is very unfortunate. She said that the dead cannot be returned to their families, but the government will give a befitting reply to this.
During this, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) district president Dr Sarvesh Katheria, Sadar MLA Gudiya Katheria and other leaders were present.
