Rajasthan: Dead body recovered from drain during cleaning in Bhilwara

Bhilwara, May 6 (UNI) The body of a man in his 40s was recovered from a drain during cleaning operations by municipal corporation workers near the Traffic Branch in Pratap Nagar police station area of Bhilwara on Tuesday, police said.

Police sources said municipal corporation workers were cleaning the drain with a JCB machine when they spotted the body amidst the debris in the drain. The workers retrieved the body and informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot and tried to identify the deceased through locals, but no one could recognise him.
The deceased is estimated to be around 40 years old. It is suspected that he might have fallen into the drain the previous night, leading to his death.

The police suspect that the deceased might have been under the influence of intoxicants. The body has been sent to the district hospital's morgue for further proceedings.
