BSF constable shoots himself dead in Kupwara

Srinagar, Apr 3 (UNI) A Border Security Force (BSF) constable allegedly shot himself dead on Wednesday night in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Officials said Rakesh Kumar of 139 BSF battalion, posted in Trehgam Kupwara, shot himself dead during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. Kumar had recently returned to duty following a vacation.

Authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
