Jammu, May 5 (UNI) In a significant step towards capacity building and professional development of police personnel, Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, Sandeep Mehta on Monday inaugurated two training courses at District Police Lines, Doda.
The first course was on the NDPS Act, which was organised in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau, Jammu.
The training was imparted by the representative of NCB Ashu Dhaka and the course aims to equip police personnel with in-depth knowledge and skills to effectively deal with narcotics-related cases.
On this occasion, as per the official handout, SSP Mehta, in his inaugural addresses, gave a brief lecture to the participants on the working of the police for investigating professionally without any loopholes.
He also advised the course participants to gain maximum knowledge and techniques for conducting the investigation in a professional manner and procedures to be followed during the investigation of NDPS cases.
The second course was on New Criminal Laws Phase-II. DySP Hqrs Doda Ajay Anand acted as Nodal Officer who shall supervise the training program in District Training Centre DPL Doda.
The aim of organising of the course is to make the cops familiar with the new criminal laws and to sharpen the professional skill of officers and officials in the field of investigation, techniques and professional acumen of participants with regard to recent amendments and changes in the law and procedure to be followed from the registration of FIR to final production of Challan etc.
The training courses witnessed participation from investigating officers from different police stations and police posts.
By imparting specialised training, the district police administration aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of its personnel, ultimately leading to more effective law enforcement and better service delivery to the community. UNI VBH SSP
