Yamuna Expressway implements safety measures suggested by experts from IIT,Delhi

Lucknow, Mar 30 (UNI) The Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh has successfully implemented all road safety measures suggested by an expert team from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, official sources said here on Sunday.
Sources said that according to the State Road Safety Council’s annual report, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has met all 21 safety standards. "In August 2018, YEIDA commissioned IIT Delhi to conduct a road safety audit of the expressway, which spans six districts, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, and Bulandshahr. Following the audit, IIT Delhi submitted a detailed safety report in 2019 outlining key recommendations to enhance road security," they said.
Sources said that the YEIDA has now successfully implemented all eight key safety measures recommended by IIT Delhi, along with 21 additional safety standards. "The 165-kilometre-long expressway, a vital transportation route in UP, has now achieved full compliance with all required road safety standards, as confirmed in the latest annual report of the State Road Safety Council," they said.
