Kumbh holds significance beyond religion, impacting economy: Gajendra Shekhawat

Prayagraj, Feb 21 (UNI) Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Friday underscored the far-reaching economic impact of Maha Kumbh and said that beyond being the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, Maha Kumbh has become one of India’s biggest economic events.
Inaugurating the Kumbh Global Summit, organised by the India Foundation in Prayagraj on the grand and sacred occasion of Maha Kumbh, former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu described it as a meaningful platform for achieving sustainable development goals. The summit also saw participation from representatives of the Indian diaspora, who engaged in discussions on sustainable development.
Speaking at the Kumbh Global Summit 2025 at Triveni Complex, Prayagraj, Union Minister Shekhawat underscored the far-reaching economic impact of Maha Kumbh. "Beyond being the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, Maha Kumbh has become one of India’s biggest economic events," he said.
