Evaluation of UP Board exams answer sheets begins

Prayagraj, Mar 19 (UNI) The evaluation of answer sheets of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) high school and intermediate examination started on Wednesday amid tight security arrangements, official sources said here.
Sources said that about 1.5 lakh examiners are checking about three crore answer sheets in 261 centres. "The target has been set to complete the evaluation work in the next 15 days. The evaluation work is being done under the surveillance of CCTV cameras with voice recorders and entry of outsiders is prohibited at the evaluation centres. Examiners cannot even carry mobile phones to the centre," they said.
Secretary of the UP Board Bhagwati Singh said that the evaluation which started from Wednesday at 261 centres in the state will continue till April 2. "In high school, 84,122 examiners and 8,473 deputy chief examiners have been appointed for 1,63,22,248 written answer sheets," he said.
He said that 50,601 examiners and 5,471 deputy chief examiners have been deployed for the evaluation of 1,33,71,607 copies in Intermediate. "Supervisors and magistrates will keep doing surprise inspections of evaluation centres. DIOS, JD and Additional Secretary of the district concerned will also keep inspecting the evaluation centres," he said.
The evaluation of UP Board copies started from 10 am on Wednesday at 10 evaluation centres in Prayagraj. DIOS PN Singh has inspected all the evaluation centers and inspected the preparations and given necessary instructions to the subordinates.
He said that 12 lakh copies will be evaluated at the centres in 15 days, the preparations for which have been completed.
The result of high school and intermediate is likely to be declared before April 20. It is worth mentioning that the result of high school and intermediate of UP Board was declared on 24 April in the year 2024. This time the examination and evaluation are going to be completed earlier, so there is a possibility that the result will be declared by April 20.
