Bharat Sarovar to be developed as tourist destination in UP

Lucknow, Mar 30 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board has announced the beautification and infrastructure enhancement project for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Bharat Sarovar, the site to improve the tourist influx, official sources said here on Sunday.
Sources said that the Netaji Bharat Sarovar located in Chakwali village of Saharanpur district holds a unique identity across India. "Designed in the shape of the Indian map, this pond attracts visitors from across the country," they said.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that a budget of Rs 2.43 crore has been allocated for the project. "The development plan includes the construction of a watchtower, an entrance gate, food stalls, landscaping, toilets, pathways, solar lighting, signage and an information desk. Of the total funds, Rs 1.2 crore has already been released for the initial phase of the project," he said.
