Telangana: SLBC tunnel rescue efforts in full swing

Nagarkurnool (Telangana), Feb 23 (UNI) Telangana Irrigation & Civil Supplies Minister Captain N Uttam Kumar Reddy stated on Sunday that the government is making all-out efforts to rescue eight workers trapped inside the collapsed Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel in Nagarkurnool district.
He emphasised that the state government, Army, Navy, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and other agencies are working together to ensure a swift and safe rescue.
Dewatering operations have commenced, and oxygen is being continuously pumped into the tunnel to sustain the trapped workers, he informed.
