Telangana: Miltenyi Biotec opens India’s 1st cell, gene therapy CoE in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Feb 24 (UNI) Miltenyi Biotec, a global leader in cell and gene therapy (CGT) solutions, launched India’s first-ever dedicated cell & gene therapy centre-of-excellence (CoE) at Genome Valley, India’s leading life sciences hub, Hyderabad on Monday.
The MITC (Miltenyi innovation and technology centre) was inaugurated by Telangana Special Chief Secretary (IT and Industries) Jayesh Ranjan and Dr. Kathrin Misera-Lang, Consul General (interim) of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of India, Chennai in the presence of Dr. Boris Stoffel, Chief Commercial Officer, Member of the Board, Miltenyi Biotec B.V. & Co. KG, Priya Hingorani, Managing Director, Miltenyi Biotec India, Shakti Nagappan, CEO of Telangana Lifesciences, and Ms. Amita Desai, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hyderabad.
Spanning 1,800 sq mtr, MITC is designed to advance cell and gene therapy development.
