BJP lawmakers meet Siddaramaiah, ask more funds for Bengaluru development

Bengaluru, Feb 28 (UNI) Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Friday said that BJP MPs and MLAs have met State Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, urging him to allocate more funds in the upcoming budget for Bengaluru's development.
Addressing reporters, Yediyurappa stated that even during the BJP government, funds were earmarked for Bengaluru's infrastructure. However, in the last two years, no significant allocation has been made for the city's development.
"Bengaluru is a Silicon City, and the entire country is closely monitoring its progress. Therefore, we have demanded that the Chief Minister allocate more funds to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ( BBMP ) and provide ₹150 crore for each MLA from Bengaluru City to facilitate the development of their respective constituencies," he told reporters.
