Stalin's launches all out attack on Centre, asserts neither Amit Shah nor any Shah can rule TN

Chennai, Apr 18(UNI) Launching an all out and frontal attack on the BJP-led Government, Prime
Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who had said the NDA will form
government in Tamil Nadu in 2026, Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Friday
asserted that neither Amit Shah nor any Shah can rule the State as TN is out of Delhi's control
and that DMK's Dravidian Model will retain power in 2026.
Speaking after launching Rs 418.15 crore 6,760 completed projects, laying the foundation stone
for 7,369 new projects worth Rs 390 crores and distributing welfare measures to the tune of
Rs 357.43 crores to 2,02,531 beneficiaries at an official function at Andarkuppam village in the
Northern suburb of Ponneri in neighbouring Tiruvallur district, he said Tami Nadu will not bow
down to Delhi as it had historically resisted hegemony and aggression.
Taking on the BJP Government on NEET, delimitation, three-language formula, Hindi imposition
and allocation of special funds to the State, Mr Stalin said challenged Mr Amit Shah and asked
whether he could give a firm assurance that TN would not be affected on the issues.
Posing a series of questions, he challenged Mr Shah "Can you affirm that NEET exemption will be granted? Can you assure us that Hindi will not be imposed? Can you provide a list detailing the special funds allocated to Tamil Nadu? Can you promise that Tamil Nadu’s representation will not
be reduced in the proposed delimitation exercise".
Reiterating his commitment to making Tamil Nadu the number one state in every sector, he said
they could not digest that Tamil Nadu having a independent and distinctive identity and hence had formed an alliance with traitors of Tamil interests who have pledged the self- respect and ethnic
pride of the Tamils.
Referring to Mr Shah's statement in Parliament that the BJP will come to power in Tamil Nadu in
2026 and also during his recent visit to Chennai, Mr Stalin, throwing up a challenge said Tamil Nadu will never submit to Delhi’s control.
"We are a people of unique character and identity. Your formula of breaking parties, engineering defections and intimidating them through raids in other states, will not work in Tamil Nadu. Don't
get misled and get disappointed as you cannot win by stitching together an alliance by intimidating
the traitors who were trying to mortgage the State.
"You think you can rule Tamil Nadu by partnering with spineless traitors who lack Tamil identity and dignity? Take a look at our history. This Tamil land is known for self-respect, pride, valor, wisdom,
and harmony. It has never accepted hegemony or aggression in any time", Mr Stalin said.
"We are well aware of the kind of intimidation and coercion tactics you will employ using your agencies before elections to have your way. People of the country are aware of this. We are not slaves to yield to such pressure", he said, asserting neither Amit Shah nor any Shah could ever
rule Tamil Nadu, which is always out of control for Delhi.
In 2026, it will be Dravidian model governance again. Tamil Nadu has always remained out of
Delhi’s control. Do you believe you can win by intimidating a few and forming alliances. Bring all
your Parivars together, let us face it", he said.
"Not Amit Shah, no “Shah” can rule here. This is Tamil Nadu. As long as Muthuvel Karunanidhi
Stalin is here, your plans will not succeed, for Tami Nadu will fight, Tamil Nadu will win", he added.
Slamming Mr Modi's jibe at the DMK government during his Rameswaram that despite the Centre
allocating more funds, some people are crying for more funds, Mr Stalin said I wish to respectfully remind the Prime Minister are states beggars just because they seek their rights from the Union
Government? Did you not, during your tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister, accuse the Union
Government of using Governors to interfere and showing bias in fund allocation to opposition-
ruled states?.
"How it it justifiable for you now to claim that we are crying when we demand our rights? I am
neither lamenting, nor I am someone who begs and crawl and fall at others’ feet",he said. .
