Thunderstorm with lightning, gusty winds likely in Telangana in next 5 days: Met

Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds with speed ranging from 30 to 50 kmph is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next five days, Meteorological Centre said on Monday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places in the state in the next seven days.

Maximum temperatures are expected to remain below normal by 3 to 4 degrees celsius for the next three days.

According to media reports, hailstorms were reported in the districts of Kamareddy, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, and Medak in Telangana during the last 24 hours.

Rain also occurred at one or two places in the state during the same period.

The highest maximum temperature of 41 degree celsius was recorded in Mahbubnagar on Sunday, the report added.
