Maha govt promotes 80 additional District Collectors

Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) Government orders for the promotion of 80 Deputy District Collectors in Maharashtra to the post of Additional District Collectors were issued on Tuesday .
The selection list for the post of Tehsildar will also be released soon, according to the an official media statement issued by revenue minister Chandrasekhar Bawankule .
A month and a half ago, sixty Additional District Collectors were given selection status in Maharashtra and 34 of them were made the chairmen of the District Caste Verification Committee, due to which students got the speedy process of getting caste certificates.
The habit of staying in one place for many years in the Revenue Department has been replaced by these transfers and promotions. Officers who had been in remote areas for many years were also promoted and transferred to the cities of Mumbai and Pune. With the appointment to the posts of Additional District Collector, now the district-level hearings in the Revenue Department will be done in large numbers and they will also be settled.
