Take effective measures to control hair and nail loss disease: Union Minister Jadhav

Buldhana,April 22 (UNI) In the backdrop of increasing cases of hair loss and subsequent nail loss in some villages of Maharashtra's Buldhana district, Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav on Tuesday directed the central government team to go to the root of this disease and work.
He was speaking at a review meeting held under his chairmanship at Mehkar.
On this occasion, experts from ICMR, National Department of Disease Control, Water Quality Department under Jal Jeevan Mission, Dermatology expert from Lady Hardinge Medical College New Delhi, FSSAI, Indian Wheat and Barley Research Centre Haryana, Plant Quarantine Department and Ministry of Agriculture as well as District Surgeon Dr. Bhagwat Bhusari and District Health Officer Dr. Amol Geete were present.

Jadhav said, he directed to start preventive medicine immediately to prevent the patients from suffering again. He also instructed that measures be taken to find out the root cause of the disease and effective remedies.
For this, he instructed that blood samples of the patients as well as samples of water, soil, grain from the affected villages and test them in the laboratory and submit the report.
The central team will visit the village for two days and meet the patients and find out the root cause of the disease.
Jadhav appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the central team.

The number of patients is increasing in a total of thirteen villages. UNI VKB SSP
