Maha budget hollow: MPCC chief

Mumbai, Mar 10 (UNI) Reacting to the state budget presented by Deputy Chief and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar in the Legislative Assembly on Monday, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Harshvardhan Sapkal described it as a hollow budget without any direction, goal or policy, betraying the common people including farmers and women.
"This will not benefit any party. The government has betrayed the people of the state by not fulfilling the promises made in the election. Financial indiscipline is going on in the state and the debt is more than eight lakh crore rupees and the expenditure is more than the income," he state.
The BJP coalition government, which says that Maharashtra will not stop now, seems like it is going to bankrupt the state by debt market, he added.
