Maha: Four suspects arrested for molesting daughter of minister

Jalgaon, Mar 3 (UNI) Police have arrested four of seven suspects under the POCSO Act for allegedly molesting the daughter of Union Minister of State for Sports & Youth Welfare, Raksha Khadse, and her friends during a fair in Muktainagar of Jalgaon district.
MoS Khadse's daughter and her friends were molested on Friday during the ongoing Sant Muktai fair at Kothali in Muktainagar. The perpetrators also assaulted a security guard. Therefore, a case was registered against seven suspects Aniket Bhoi, Piyush More, Soham Koli, Anuj Patil, Kiran Mali, Chetan Bhoi and Sachin Palve based on a complaint by the security guard.
During last two days, when police did not arrest anyone in this case, MoS Khadse went directly to the police station on Sunday and questioned the officials about it.
Her father-in-law and senior NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader and MLA Eknath Khadse had also alleged that there has been a rise in hooliganism in Muktai Nagar recently, and that the local people's representatives' patronage was responsible for it, indirectly pointing the finger at Shinde group MLA Chandrakant Patil.
Maharashtra Chief and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis also took immediate notice of the incident and ordered the police to immediately arrest the suspects.
Accordingly, by Sunday evening, the Muktai Nagar police took Kiran Mali and a minor boy into custody. Late on Sunday night, Aniket Bhoi (26) and Anuj Patil (19) were arrested.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishnat Pingale said that the police are also searching for the remaining suspects and are verifying whether they are actually involved in the crime or if their names have been included.
