Nagpur, Mar 30 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Maharashtra’s Nagpur on Sunday, paid floral tribute to RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar at Smruti Mandir.
The prime minister will attend the series of programmes here during the day today.
The prime minister was welcomed by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the airport.
Around 4000 police forces have been deployed in Nagpur city today.
State BJP Spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar said that the prime minister will participate in various programmes, including the laying of the foundation stone of the state-of-the-art Madhav Netralaya.
Modi will also visit the Deekshabhoomi before leaving for Chhattisgarh, said Khardekar.
