Maha: Governor, CM greet people on eve of Gudi Padwa festival

Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis extended their greetings to the citizens of the state on eve of Gudi Padwa festival, the beginning of the Marathi New Year.
In his message, Radhakrushnan appealed everyone to celebrate the first Gudi Padwa, which is falling after the
Marathi language has been granted the status of a classical language, with renewed enthusiasm.
He extended his warmest greetings on the occasion of Gudi Padwa as well as the New Year.
He also extended his greetings to everyone on the occasion of Ugadi, Cheti Chand, Baisakhi and Sausar Padwa.
The Governor has said in his greetings that he prays that the New Year brings happiness, contentment, good
health and prosperity to all, he added.
While Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in his message stated that may this New Year brings new vitality and
energy in everyone's lives -- be it farmers, workers, traders and entrepreneurs.
May it bring moments of happiness, contentment and prosperity for all, he added.
"Maharashtra is a progressive state. Maharashtra's contribution to the country's progress is unique and it is the
essence of national religion. Let us take this essence and decide the development of the state and the country
together. Let's increase this national religion, build a grand palace of development," appealed Fadnavis.
