Decision on Radio Club Jetty to be taken only after taking locals into confidence: Maha Assembly Speaker

Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) Further decisions regarding a jetty that is being constructed at Radio Club in the sea near Gateway of India will be taken only after taking local citizens into confidence, assured Advocate Rahul Narvekar, Speaker of Maharashtra Assembly, on Saturday.
He gave this assurance in a meeting held with the locals at the Cabinet room of Vidhan Bhavan regarding the difficulties, doubts and inconveniences and suggestions arising due to construction of the jetty.
Adv Narvekar said that the work of the jetty should be suspended for next 10 days.
Another meeting of the locals will also be organised in this regard. After that, a positive way will be taken out of this.
An alternative site should be found for the jetty and the project should be verified.
Reports of various studies conducted regarding the jetty should be given to the local citizens. If they have any suggestions or objections to these reports, they should also be verified, he instructed the concerned officials.
