Maha: Election Commissioner interacts with delegation of CPI(M)

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) Chief Election Commissioner of India, Dnyanesh Kumar, and Election Commissioners Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr Vivek Joshi on Sunday interacted with a delegation of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) led by General Secretary M A Baby at the Election House in Delhi.
The interaction was part of the ongoing series of discussions with the presidents of national and state-level political parties by the Commission and will be an important opportunity for the party presidents to convey their suggestions directly to the Commission through this interaction.
The aim of this initiative is to strengthen the electoral process more effectively and is an attempt to make the electoral process stronger within the existing legal framework with the participation of all stakeholders.
Earlier, the Commission had met a delegation led by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Ms Mayawati on May six and a delegation led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Jagat Prakash Nadda on May eight.
