Mumbai, Mar 24 (UNI) A security guard was killed while three other people, including another security guard, sustained injuries after a fire broke out and spread through a high-rise in Mumbai’s Vidyavihar in the early hours of Monday, an official said.
According to details, the incident occurred in Takshshila CHS, Neelkanth Kingdom Complex, Nathani Road, Opp. Vidyavihar Station, Vidyavihar (W).
The fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installation, household articles, wooden furniture, AC units, clothes, etc., in 05 nos. of flats on the 1st & 2nd floors & wooden wall fittings, shoe racks, wooden furniture, etc., in the 1st & 2nd-floor lobby of the ground plus podium plus upper 13th-floor high-rise building, the official said.
The security guard who was killed was identified as Uday Gangan, while others injured were identified as Sabhajit Yadav, 52 years; Kamala Jain, 73 years; and Jitendar Jain.
Injured are admitted in the Rajawadi hospital and their condition is reported to be stable now.
