Maha: Congress attacks Sangram Thopte for joining BJP, says he has abandoned his ideology for personal gain

Pune, Apr 26 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on former party MLA Sangram Thopte, who joined the BJP three days ago, the Congress party today said that Thopte has started implementing the agenda of defaming the Congress as soon as he joined the BJP and is showing the "BJP Sangati".

Congress state spokesperson Gopaldada Tiwari said that by defaming the Congress party, which has been ruling in the House and building a network of institutions for 50 years, Thopte, MLA from Bhor, has finally acknowledged his ingratitude towards the party and has introduced the BJP’s association and culture.
Tiwari said that Thopte's ingratitude has reached the lips of the workers and voters of the district.

Speaking at press conference Tiwari took stock of Thopte’s "baseless and fact-free criticism" of the Congress.
"MLA Sangram Thopte has abandoned his ideology for personal gain and joined hands with the ruling party," he said.
Tiwari said that "although it is not our issue that he should personally stay with any party, it is baseless and wrong to accuse the Congress party of doing injustice to him".
The Congress state spokesperson said: "Every family active in the party has a great contribution to the Congress party. Their families were in power for more than 50 years.
"Isn't the strength of party colleagues gained during the Congress rule in establishing various educational institutions, schools and colleges, milk production institutions, transportation institutions, Rajgad sugar factory, etc., a contribution of the Congress party?" questioned Tiwari, of Mulshi taluka.
Although Sangram Thopte has abandoned his ideology and switched parties, the influence of inclusive national ideas continues in Bhor, Velha, Mulshi talukas. Therefore, the voters and loyal Congress workers of this taluka will remain with the Congress party without following Thopte, said Mulshi taluka Congress office bearers present on this occasion.
