Warring Thackeray cousins agree to work together in interest of Maharashtra

Mumbai, Apr 19 (UNI) After exactly two decades of bitterness and anger, fresh signs of a possible tie-up have emerged between two warring cousins -- Shiv Sena (UBT) president and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray.
Indications have been given by both the Sena (UBT) and MNS on Saturday that they have initiated steps for a potential unity or a formal alliance – though both also warn that it is still too early to make any concrete statements.
Ahead of upcoming Mumbai municipal elections, the Thackeray cousins have separately expressed their openness to set aside past differences in the larger interests of Maharashtra and the Marathi identity.
