Over 770 people arrested for drug offences in Brunei in 2024

Bandar Seri Begawan, Apr 14 (UNI) A total of 777 people have been arrested in Brunei in 2024 for drug-related offences compared to 711 individuals in 2023, Brunei's Narcotic Control Bureau statistics revealed.
In total, over 40,000 grams of methamphetamine was confiscated in 2024 compared to more than 4,000 grams in 2023.
Methamphetamine was the most commonly seized drug. Other drugs confiscated by the bureau were erimin 5, ecstacy, cannabis, and ketamine.
