Malaysia to host ASEAN-GCC Summit; China also invited: Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 12 (UNI) Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that the country will create history as it gets ready to host the ASEAN-GCC Summit in Kuala Lumpur this May. The Malaysian PM said that China has also been invited as a guest in a show of its openness to all nations.
“Our system, our peace and our strong economic growth have attracted global attention for the summit to be held here,” the Malaysian PM said speaking at Pantai Irama here today, according to Malay Mail.
Noting the confidence shown by regional and global partners in Malaysia’s leadership and political stability, he said that China will also be attending the summit, highlighting Malaysia's openness to all countries to safeguard the people's interests.
