Quake measuring 6.2 hits Kokopo, Papua New Guinea, no tsunami warnings

Sydney, Apr 12 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 jolted 114 km ESE of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea at 0347 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 72.5 km, was initially determined to be at 4.71 degrees south latitude and 153.24 degrees east longitude.
Currently, there is no tsunami warning triggered by the earthquake, according to the U.S. Tsunami Warning System.
The Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Center also said that there is no tsunami currently affecting Australia.
No immediate reports of casualties or damage were released by authorities.
