Old woman lynched in Bihar

Patna, Apr 11 (UNI) An old woman was lynched on the suspicion of practising witchcraft in village Hurmetha under Nauhatta police station area in Rohtas district.
Police said here on Friday that Upendra Oraon's Ranjan was ill for the past few days. Suddenly his condition worsened and he died while being taken to the hospital.
The relatives of the deceased blamed their neighbour Kismatiya Devi, wife of Harivansh Uran, for witch crafting. They reached the house of Kismatiya Devi along with the body of Ranjan and started beating her up. The deceased's mother Pramila Devi attacked Kismatiya Devi who was beaten up by brick, stones and bamboo. Later she was killed by a lethal weapon.
