Amethi (UP), Apr 27 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and MP from Rae Bareli Rahul Gandhi is arriving on a one-day visit to Amethi on April 30 during which he will inaugurate the heart unit at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital and inspect the gun factory.

MP from Amethi Kishori Lal Sharma said on Sunday that Rahul Gandhi will be on a tour of his parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli on April 29 where he will participate in the meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha).

He said that Rahul will spend the night at Bhuemau Guest House in Raebareli. He said that on April 30, Rahul Gandhi will go to the Ordnance Factory in Munshiganj by road. After that, he will inaugurate the Heart Unit in Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Munshiganj and after inspecting Indira Gandhi College of Nursing, he will return to Delhi.

It may be noted that Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Munshiganj is run by Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Trust, New Delhi. Sonia Gandhi is the chairperson of this trust, whereas Rahul Gandhi is a trustee.

Rahul is coming to Amethi on April 30 for the first time after the Lok Sabha elections. He had earlier visited on May 17, 2024 to address an election public meeting. During this, Samajwadi Party President (SP) Akhilesh Yadav and the Congress MP addressed a joint public meeting in support of Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma.
